7th Grade Shots
Shots are required for all students entering 7th grade. Now is the time to make sure your child's shots are up-to-date before school starts on Monday 8/24/2020.
For 7th grade entry, a meningitis shot and one TDaP dose are required at 11-12 years of age.
Unless excused because of religious belief or medical condition, a child may not be enrolled in a public school within Nevada unless the child has been immunized and has received the proper boosters for that immunization or is complying with the schedules established pursuant to NRS 439.550.
All students must have a current 20-21 online registration completed. Failure to have Online Registration completed will result in the student losing their access to their required Google account needed for distance education.

The Silvestri STEAM Academy!
Silvestri Jr. High School is a 1-to-1 Chromebook academy in which every student receives a Chromebook to use in school and at home through the Nevada Ready 21 Grant.
Silvestri was highlighted in PITSCO Education's February 2018 STEM Article.
"It was an ambitious request. Educator John Walz was asked in 2016 to build a STEAM program for Silvestri Junior High School in Las Vegas, Nevada. The vision was multifaceted: expose students to a wide range of subjects to hook their interest while also exploring key areas in greater depth – and at the same time keep the program flexible to accommodate changes that might be needed. Walz had experience to draw from, having both led a middle school educational technology program and worked in a position helping elementary and middle school teachers integrate technology in their classrooms."
